Surrounded by magnificent peaks, miles of gentle meadows and alpine basins, guests have an easy time enjoying their stay at the lodge.
We plan daily hikes or rides for our guests during their stay.

Feeling the need for a less strenuous day? Stroll through the natural meadows around the lodge, or wander over to the lake with your fishing rod.

We also offer the following customized muli-day trips

Camping & Trail Riding:
During July, August & September we guide wilderness horse trips through the Forget-me-not, Blueberry, and Sheep Creek areas, Kakwa Provincial Park, and many more trails along the Great Divide. These are generally trips of 7 days+ duration and can be arranged on a custom basis.

Hut - to - Hut Hiking
Our location on Swift Creek is about 15 km. north of Dave Henry Lodge. In the trees at the bottom of a gentle basin, these cabins are situated so guests can follow open glades to the alpine - lots of big alpine!

Hike to Rainbow Valley, Emerald Ridge, or Alpland Ridge, areas as beautiful as their colorful names suggest. On a clear day, you can hike to panoramic viewpoints. Mount Robson, unmistakable by its profile and size, looms above surrounding peaks and is sure to be a photo focal point. There are two cabins - one for cooking and dining, and the other for sleeping. They will accommodate 8 people comfortably. There is wood heat and propane lamps and cookstove.

Horse-Assisted Hiking:
We also offer customized trips to hikers who wish to leave their heavy gear for our pack-horses to carry.

"Horse-assisted hiking" we call it, and it's a great way to see a lot of country without too much wear & tear on your body.
