We are dedicated to one objective: to conserve this unique subalpine ecosystem by enabling guests to enjoy a wilderness experience on nature's terms. Rather than conquer the wilderness here; we co-exist in harmony. Rocky Mountain Escape's credo is to protect our environment. Harmful activities are avoided. Each of the three log cabins Accomodates two to four guests. They are constructed for high energy efficiency; a minimal amount of energy is needed to keep them toasty warm. Solar power provides lighting for the cabins. A noiseless modern hydro unit powers the lodge, yet does not consume nor pollute water in the naturally flowing creek or surrounding environment. During 1997, construction will commence on an intimate lodge where guests can enjoy a wholesome, family-style meal complemented with locally grown and wild plants. Relax and relate the day's adventures with other guests around a roaring fire or listen to a native storyteller weave tales in the lounge. Browse through the reference books and videos on ancient landforms, wildlife and plants common to our area. By limiting our size, Rocky Mountain Escape ensures that each guest receives an optimum, personalized experience. Our guests can be assured of an exciting and memorable adventure. Laura and Ron |
