From Canmore, delve into one of the most unique experiences you’ll find in the Canadian Rockies by descending into the cave on Grotto Mountain with Banff Adventures Unlimited.
Highly trained, internationally experienced guides lead you through this 4 km long limestone cave’s twisting passageways – etched over hundreds of thousands of years by the force water – to large chambers, mineral formations, animal bones and fossils.
Tours are physically challenging but no caving experience is necessary. Participants should be reasonably fit, i.e., those who hike, bike, raft, snowshoe or ski will enjoy this adventure. Tours go all year, rain or shine.
Would-be spelunkers are advised to bring a snack bar, water bottle and disposable camera with flash and to wear light hiking shoes and warm, but not bulky clothes.
