Banff – Canadian Rockies Trekking

Banff National Park boasts numerous trekking opportunities throughout the Canadian Rockies’ beautiful mountain wilderness. Trekkers can access Banff’s exclusive areas visited only by a limited number of tourists annually.

Trekking in Banff National Park offers 1,500 km of trails, 50 backcountry campsites, two trail shelters, four backcountry lodges, several alpine huts, two commercial horse outfitters, and numerous licensed guide services. The trails in the more remote parts of the park are not as well-maintained and trekkers must be prepared for camping. You will have to cross rivers as there are few bridges. The remote areas may require route-finding skills, and as such, have minimal evidence of human presence.
