The “Ho”, as it is affectionately called by locals, is Alberta’s second longest continuously operating Hotel as construction was completed in 1890. Plans are currently underway to restore this iconic building to its original former glory.

Downtown Canmore is populated by all kinds of locally owned shops, eateries and art galleries. Several times throughout the year, Downtown Canmore is also the venue for some of the town’s major special events. So take a stroll and have a latte at one of the outdoor cafes.
